NYSDEC Updates to the Consultant Option Process:

NYSDEC is excited to share some improvements to the Consultant Option for the Parcel Jurisdictional Determination Process. In response to your feedback, NYSDEC has developed a standardized submission form similar to the Parcel JD form. This new form includes an Excel table designed for consultants to outline all potential jurisdictional outcomes and classify the wetlands accordingly.

Upon submission, the form will be sent to both the central office and the relevant regional staff. This enhancement aims to promote consistency throughout the program as well as efficiencies to assist in review times.

•improve its members' knowledge and understanding of wetlands, and
•make available information about wetlands to its members and the general public.
