Wetlands Plant Identification Field Review Class
Hamlin Wildlife Management Area
Friday, September 28 at 12:30 pm
Sponsored by the New York State Wetlands Forum, Inc.

Joseph M. McMullen will lead a wetlands plant identification field class at the Stanley J. Hamlin Wildlife Management Area (Clay Marsh) in the Town of Clay, Onondaga County on Friday, September 28, 2007 starting at 12:30 pm. Location of the meeting place is at the end of Davis Road off of Bear Road and is identified on the map link here [1MB].

The class will review common wetlands and adjacent upland plants. It will be directed at those with a beginner and intermediate knowledge of plant identification. Basic plant classification and plant structures used to identify plants will be reviewed. Helpful plant identification field guides will be discussed. Participants should dress for the field and weather. Rubber boots are advisable. The class will occur rain or shine.

This plant identification class is open to anyone interested. New York State Wetlands Forum member can attend the class for free; for all others there is a $20 fee payable to the Forum.
